A legacy platform retired.
A land business re-presented

Overview

Capital Land Property Group promotes and develops strategic land across Swindon and London: long-horizon work measured in years and planning cycles, where credibility is the entire sales pitch.

Their website was telling the opposite story. The company was running on an end-of-life legacy platform: outdated technology, unmaintained plugins, and a presentation years behind the calibre of the business. We replaced it end to end with a modern, secure, fast site that matches the scale of what they actually do.

Cinematic where it should be, disciplined underneath: static pages served from the edge, a hardened contact flow, and nothing left running that anyone needs to patch on a Tuesday night.

The challenge

Credibility work, on a
deadline that mattered

Strategic land is a trust business. Landowners deciding who to partner with for a decade, and councils scrutinising who is behind a proposal, all do the same thing first: they look at the website. An ageing, insecure platform was not a cosmetic problem, it was a commercial one.

The brief was a full replacement: recover and rewrite the content, redesign the brand presentation around the company's actual portfolio, and move the whole estate onto infrastructure that stays secure without anybody thinking about it.

What we built

Every feature earned its place

Cinematic brand presentation

A dark, confident visual language with scroll-driven motion, built to put a land business alongside the developers and institutions it deals with.

3D terrain section

A scroll-scrubbed Three.js landscape that makes the subject matter, land itself, the centrepiece of the story rather than stock photography.

Project portfolio

Structured project pages presenting the development portfolio consistently, built from data rather than hand-edited pages, so additions stay effortless.

News publishing

A lightweight news section for company announcements, written in simple files with no database or admin panel to secure and maintain.

Hardened contact & careers flow

Enquiries and applications pass through bot protection and are delivered by a transactional email service. No forms bolted to an ageing plugin.

Content recovery & migration

The company's history and project record were recovered, rewritten and restructured, so nothing of substance was lost in leaving the old platform behind.

The result

Nothing left to patch,
nothing left to doubt

Capital Land Property Group now presents the way the business operates: serious, established, and precise. The site is fast everywhere, served from the edge, and its static-first architecture removes the maintenance treadmill that ageing platforms impose.

This is the pattern for any business still carrying an end-of-life website. Replace the attack surface with static pages, put the interactive parts behind proper protection, and let the design finally match the standard of the company behind it.
